The length and width of a rectangle are in the ratio 5:3. find the dimensions of the rectangle, if it's perimeter is 112

Answer:

112=2(l+b)

112=2(5x+3x)

112=2(8x)

112=16x

x=112/16 = 7

So length = 5x = 5×7 =35

Breadth = 3x= 3×7=21
