Given ratio of length to width : 3 : 2.

Let x be the length, then the dimensions of the rectangle is :

length : 3x/5, width : 2x/5 in the ratio 3:2.

then perimeter is : 2(L+W) = 48 cm,

2[(3x/5) + (2x/5)] = 48,

(3x/5)+(2x/5) = 50,

3x + 2x = 250,

5x = 250, x = 50.

therefore,

length : 3x/5 = 150/5 = 30,

width : 2x/5 = 100/5 = 20.

Area of rectangle : 30*20 = 600 cm^2.

Thanks!!
