Answer:let the length of the rectangle be 3x

and breadth = 5x

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

= 2 ( 3x + 5x ) = 48

= 2 ( 8x ) = 48

16x = 48

x = 48/16

= x = 3

so length of the rectangle = 3x

= 3 × 3

= 9cm.

Answer:

Let the length and width of the rectangle be 3x and 5x respectively.

Then,

2(3x+5x)=48

16x=48

x=3

Length=3x=3*3=9 cm

Breadth=5x=5*3=15 cm
