Given :

  • Length, breadth, and height of a bungalow = 8m, 6m, 7m.
  • The length, breadth of the door are 5m, 4m.
  • Two windows of length 4m and breadth 1m.

To find :

  • The four walls are to be painted internally at a rate of 20 sq.m.

Solution :

⇒ Total Area of Bungalow = (l × b) + h

= (8 × 6) + 7

= (48) + 7

= 55 m²

⇒ Area of Door = l × b

= 5 × 4

= 20 m²

⇒ Area of Windows = l × b

= 4 × 1

= 4 m²

Area of two windows = 4 × 2

                                   = 8 m²

⇒ Total Area to be painted = 55 - (20 + 8)

= 55 - (28)

= 27 m²

Cost of painting = 27 × 20

                           = Rs. 540

  • Therefore, the cost of painting the bungalow is Rs. 540.

Answer :-

Length = 8m

Breadth = 6m

Height = 7m

Length Of door = 5m

breadth of door = 4m

2 windows length = 4m

2 windows breadth = 1m

4 walls to be painted internally with the rate of 20 sq.m

_____________________

Area of 4 walls = 2 (l+b) h

2 (8+6) 7

2 (14) 7

196

Area = 196 m²

_______________________

Area of door = L x B

5 X 4

20

Area = 20 m²

_______________________

Area of 2 windows = L x B

8 X 1

8

Area = 8 m²

_______________________

Total area painted = area of walls - (area of door + area of windows)

196 - (20+8)

196 - (28)

196-28

168

area painted = 168 m²

Rate of painting bungalow = Rs 20

168 x 20

3360

Rs 3360

hope it helps
