the length ,breadth and height of a closed box are respectively 2m ,1.5m and 80cm.what is the total area of canvas required to cover it up?also,find the cost of canvas if 1sqm of canvas cost Rs30.00

Total surface area = 2(Length x Breadth) + 2(Breadth x Height) + 2(Height x Length)


Find surface area :

Surface area = 2( 2 x 1.5) + 2(1.5 x 0.8) + 2(0.8 x 2)

Surface area = 6 + 2.4 + 3.2

Surface area = 11.6 m²


Find the cost:

1 m² = Rs 30.00

11.6 m² = 11.6 x 30 = Rs 348


Answer: The cost is Rs 348

Firstly ,

We have to find T.S.A

=> 2(Length x Breadth) + 2(Breadth x Height) + 2(Height x Length)


Now ,

We have to find surface area

=> 2( 2 x 1.5) + 2(1.5 x 0.8) + 2(0.8 x 2)

=> 6 + 2.4 + 3.2

=> 11.6 m²


Now ,

We have to find the cost

1 m² = ₹ 30.00. ( GIVEN )

11.6 m² = ₹ ( 11.6 x 30 )

=> ₹ 348
