SOLUTION

GIVEN

The length breadth and height of a cuboid tank is 7m 6m and 5m respectively

TO DETERMINE

The volume and total surface area

FORMULA TO BE IMPLEMENTED

If for a cuboid

Length = L , breadth = B and height = H

Then volume = LBH

Total surface area = 2( LB + BH + LH )

EVALUATION

Here it is given that the length breadth and height of a cuboid tank is 7m , 6m and 5m respectively

Length = L = 7 m

Breadth = 6 m

Height = 5 m

So volume

 \sf{ = (7 \times 6 \times 5) \:  \:  {cm}^{3} }

 \sf{ = 210 \:  \:  {cm}^{3} }

Total surface area

 \sf{ = 2 \times (7 \times 6 + 7 \times 5 + 6 \times 5)} \:  \:  \:  {cm}^{2}

 \sf{ = 2 \times (42 + 35 + 30)} \:  \:  \:  {cm}^{2}

 \sf{ = 2 \times 107} \:  \:  \:  {cm}^{2}

 \sf{ = 214} \:  \:  \:  {cm}^{2}
