Make sure the given data is correct. If it is,

Answer:

Rs 1450

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of 4 walls = 2(l + b)h

Given, l = 16m, b = 10m, h = 6 m

∴ Area of 4 walls = 2(16+10)6

                            = 312 m²

But this area includes the area of two doors and four windows, which must be subtracted.

Area of 2 doors = 2 [length x breadth]

       = 2(2 x 1.5) = 6 m²

Area of 4 windows = 4 [2 x 2 ]

                               = 16 m²

Area to be white washed = 312 - 16 - 6 = 290 m²

∴ Cost of painting = rate x area

                        = Rs 5 x 290

                        = Rs 1450

GIVEN

  • Length Of a Hall = 16m
  • Breadth Of a Hall = 10m
  • Height Of a Hall = 6m

  1. Four walls
  2. Four windows
  3. Two doors

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Formula = 2 X (length + breadth) Height

Area of 4 walls :-

2(16+10) 6

2(26) 6

52 X 6

= 312

Area = 312 m²

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Now, find area of Windows

Area of 4 windows :-

4 (2X 2)

4 (4)

= 16 m2

Area = 16 m²

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

Area Of 2 doors :-

2 (2 X 1.5)

2 (3)

= 6

Area = 6 m²

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

cost of white washing

312 - 16 - 6

312 - 22

= 290

= 290 m²

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖

ceiling of hall at the rate of ₹5 per m².

= Rate X Area

= 5 X 290

= 1450

Rs 1450
