the length, breadth and height of a hall are 5m, 6m and 7 m respectively. The hall has one door of area 1m×0.5 . Find the cost of painting the wall (only the wall ) at the rate of rupees 90 sq m

Lateral surface area = 2(l+b)h
= 2(5+6)7 = 2×11×7 = 154 m^2
Area of door = 1×0.5 = 0.5 m^2
Area to be painted = 154m^2 - 0.5m^2
= 153.5m^2
cost of painting the wall = (90× 153.5) = Rs. 13815
