The length, breadth and height of a pencil box are 15cm, 8cm and 3cm respectively. How

many such boxes can be packed in a cubical box of 1.2m long ?​

Answer:

volume of cuboidal pencil box = lbh

= 0.15 ×0.08×0.03 m

= 0.00036 m³

now volume of cubical box = l³

= 1.2×1.2×1.2 m³

= 1.728 m³

now, total pencil boxes can be packed in cubical box

= 1.728/0.00036

= 1728/1000×0.00036

= 1728/0.36

= 1728×100/36

= 48 × 100

= 4800

hence 4800 boxes can be packed in cubical box
