The length, breadth and height of a room are 4 m, 5 m and 6 m respectively. Find the area of white washing the walls of the room and the ceiling.

total surface area of room 2(l length into breadth + breadth into height + height into length)

given

length =4m and breadth = 5metre and height =6m

2(4×5+5×6+6×4)m2

2(20+30+24+)

2×74=148m2

area of ground floor=

length × breadth

4×5=20 m2

the white was the walls of the room and the ceiling = 148m2 _20 m2

= 120 m2
