to find the cost we have to first find the area

l is length, b is breadth and a is area

a=l×b

=4×3

=12

therefore, area =12 m square

{note: now whitewashing the walls of the room and ceiling at the rate of Rs. 7.50 per m square would be 12 multipled by 7.50}

cost of whitewashing the walls = 12×7.50 =12×7.5 (because the 0 doesn't matter and will make the calculation easier)

= 90.0 = 90 (again, because the 0 doesn't matter)

answer: Rs. 90
