The length, breadth and height of a room are 5 m, 4 m and 3 m respectively. Find the

total area for white washing is

Csa+base area

we get

2(l+b)h + lb

2(5+4)3 + 5*4

54+20

therefore cost if whitewashing is

It is given that, walls and ceiling is to be whitewashed . Therefore :

⟾ Total Area of Walls :

  • Total Area = 2H × ( L + B )
  • Total Area = 2 × 3 ( 5 + 4 )
  • Total Area = 2 × 3 × 9
  • Total Area = 6 × 9
  • Total Area of Walls = 54m²

⟾ Total Area of Ceiling :

  • Total Area = Length × Breadth
  • Total Area = 5 × 4
  • Total Area = 20m²

⟾ Total Area to be WhiteWashed

  • Area of Walls + Area of Ceiling
  • 54 + 20 = Total Area
  • 74m² = Total Area

Thus 74m² is to be WhiteWashed

Now,

➞ Cost of 1m² Whitewashing = Rs 7.50

➞ Cost of 74m² Whitewashing = 7.50 × 74

➞ Cost of 74m² Whitewashing = Rs 555
