The length breadth and height of a room are 5m 4m 3m respectively.Find the cost of white washing the inner of the room and ceiling at the rate of 50rs.per square metre

For finding the cost we need to find the area first.

So area of four walls = Lateral Surface area

We know that lateral surface area of a cuboid =

2h(l + b)

So lateral surface area of given room =

2 × 3(5 + 4)

=> 6 × 9

=>. 54m²

Now the area of ceiling = length × breadth =

5 × 4 = 20m²

So total area for white Washing = 54 + 20 = 74m²


Now cost at 1 m² = ₹50

So cost at 74m² = 74 × 50
= ₹3700
