Answer:

The cost of whitewashing the walls and the ceiling is Rs.444.

Step-by-step explanation:

The rule of finding the area of a wall of the room is length×height.

So,the area of the wall is (4m×3m)=12 sq.m.

The area of the two walls is (12sq.m.×2)=24sq.m.

The rule of finding the area of another wall is breadth × height

So, the area of the wall is (5m×3m)=15sq.m.

Then, the area of two walls is (15sq.m×2)=30sq.m.

The total area of the four walls is (24 sq.m+ 30sq.m)=54sq.m.

The rule of funding of the area of the roof is length×bredth

So,the area of the roof is (5m×4m)=20 sq.m.

Hence the area to be whitewashed (54sq.m+20sq.m)=74sq.m.

Therefore, the cost for whitewashing is (74×6rupees)=Rs.444.
