$\sf{breadth\: of \:room = 4\:m}$

$\sf{height\: of\: room = 3\:m}$

To Find:-

The cost of white washing the walls and ceiling.

Solution :-

⇒Lateral surface area of room + l×b

$\sf{= 2 × (l+b) ×h+ l×b}$

$\sf{= 2 × (5+4) × 3+ (5 × 4)}$

$\sf{= 2 × 9 × 3+20}$

$\sf{= 54 + 20}$

$\sf{= 74m²}$

Now,

The cost of white washing $\sf{ 1m² = Rs .7.5}$

Cost of $\sf{ 74m² = 7.5 × 74 = Rs 555}$
