Answer:

First of all we will take the HCF of all but, before that we will convert them in a similar unit :

6m 30cm =6 X 100 + 30

=630cm

5m 85cm =5 X 100 + 85

=585cm

3m 60cm =3 X 100 + 60

=360cm

Now, lets take the HCF :

HCF of 630cm, 585cm, 360cm

= 45 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the length breadth and height of a room are 6m 30cm, 5m 85cm and 3m 60cm respectively what will be the greatest length of a tape which can measures the dimensions of room exact number of times

  • So the measurement length breadth and height of a room are given. So we have
  • Length = 6m 30 cm
  • Breadth = 5 m 85 cm
  • Height = 3 m 60 cm
  • So we need to make the units similar.so we have 1 m = 100 cm
  •   6m = 600 cm
  •   5 m = 500 cm
  •   3 m = 300 cm
  • Now we get
  • Length = 600 + 30 = 630 cm
  • Breadth = 500 + 85 = 585 cm
  • Height = 300 + 60 = 360 cm
  • Now we need to find the hcf of 630,585 and 360
  • The factors are
  • 630 = 2 x 3 x 3 x 5 x 7
  • 585 = 3 x 3 x 5 x 13
  • 360 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 5
  • So we have the highest common factor as 3 x 3 x 5 = 45

Therefore the greatest length of the tape is 45 cm
