the length breadth and height of cuboid are in the ratios 5:3:2. if its volume is 3750 cm³, find it dimensions, also find the total surface area of the cuboid.​

“V = l x b x h”

Total Surface Area of cuboid-:

“TSA=2lb+2lh+2hb”

V = Volume

L = length

B = breadth

H = height

TSA = Total Surface Area

ratio-: 5:3:2

The volume of cuboid is 3750 cm ^3

To find

Total Surface Area of cuboid

Let the length breadth and height of the

cuboid be 5x , 3x and 2x.

The volume of cuboid is 3750 cm^3


The volume of cuboid -:

“V = l x b x h”

V = Volume = 3750cm^3

L = length = 5x

B = breadth = 3x

H = height= 2x

Now ,

5X x 3X x 2X = 3750 cm^3

30 X = 3750 cm^3

X = 3750 /30

X = 125

Therefore,

Length = 5 x = 5 x 125 = 625 cm

Breadth = 3 x = 3 x 125 = 375 cm

Height = 2 x = 2 x 125 = 250 cm

Now

Total Surface Area of cuboid-:

“TSA=2lb+2lh+2hb”

Length = 625 cm

Breadth = 375 cm

Height = 250 cm

Now ,

2 (625+375) + 2 (625 + 250) + 2

(250+375)

2 x 1000 + 2 x 875 + 2 x 625

2000 + 1250 + 1750

5000 cm ^2

Therefore

TSA of cuboid is 5000 cm^2
