The length, breadth and height of cuboidal water tank is 7 m, 6 m and 2 m respectively. If
4200 litre of water is pumped out from the tank. Find the fall in water level in the tank.​

the volume of water in the tank = l × b × h

= 7 ×6 × 2 m³

=84 m³

(1 m³ = 1000L)

= 84 × 10³L

4200L water is pumped out.

so remaining water = 84000- 4200

= 79,800 L => 79.8m³

remaining vol of water = 79.8 m³

79.8 = 7 × 6 × h

h = 1.9m

(since, length and breadth of the tank are constant and ht chnges due to fall in water level)

fall in water level = inital ht - final ht

= 2 - 1.9

= 0.1m
