Answer:

volume=16×11×10=1760cm^3

volume of each disc=22/7R^2H

=22/7×2×2×0.2

=17.6/7cm^3

no of discs can be formed=1760/17.6/7

=1760×7/17.6=7×100

=700

The number of discs formed = 701

Explanation:

Given : The length  , breadth and height of metalic parallelopiped is 16 cm , 11 cm and 10 cm respectively .

Volume of metalic parallelopiped =  length x breadth x height

16 x 11 x10 = 1760  cubic cm.

For disc,

Diameter = 4 cm

i.e. radius : r= 2 cm  [half of diameter]

Thickness = h= 0.2 cm

Volume of disc : \pi r^2h

=\dfrac{22}{7}(2)^2(0.2)\approx2.51\  cubic cm.

Now , the number of discs formed = (Volume of metalic parallelopiped) ÷ (Volume of disc)

1760 ÷ 2.51 ≈701

Hence, the number of discs formed = 701.
