= 1728 cm^2

volume of cube = volume of rectangular metallic block

volume of cube = side^3

side^3 = 1728cm^2

side = 3√1728

side = 12 cm

surface area = 6 side^2

= 6 × 12^2

= 6 × 144

= 864 m^2
