The length, breath and height of a room are 8m50cm 6m25cm and 4m75cm find the lenght of the longest rod

Answer:

Length ( l ) = 8m 50cm = 8.5m

Breadth ( b ) = 6m 25 cm = 6.25m

Height ( h ) = 4m 75cm = 4.75m

Note :The maximum length of the rod that can be placed in a cuboid is along the diagonal. So, the rod of length equal to the diagonal is the maximum length which can be placed in cuboid.

Longest Rod =√l^2 + b^2 +h^2)

= √ (8.5)^2 + ( 6.25) ^2 + (4.75)^2

=√72.25+39.0625+22.5625

=√133.875

=11.57043625
