Yes.

This is because the Earth is rounded.
The Equator is the closest part to the Sun whereas, the poles are the farthest. Therefore, the poles get less amount of sunlight because most of it is blocked due to the round shape of the Earth.
Area near the Equator has the longest days, whereas, area near the poles have the shortest.

Hi.

Here is your answer---------

The length of the day and night varies from place to place.
When the northern hemisphere is receiving the direct rays of the sun, i.e., in the summer, then in northern hemisphere days are long and nights are short, whereas at the same time, southern hemisphere is receiving the oblique rays of the Sun, i.e. winters season, then the days are short and nights are long.

These factors only depends upon the apparent movement of the earth around the sun. Thus, length of days and night varies. It will always varies because earth cannot stop the rotation and revolution. This given sentence will always be true.

Hope it will help u.

Have a nice day.
