Let the breadth of a field be x
So, length = 2x
Perimeter = 2(l+b)
Therefore,
2( x + 2x) = 600
2 (3x) = 600
6x = 600
X = 600/6
X = 100
So,breadth = 100
And length = 2 x 100 = 200
Hope it helps...!!!

Answer:

The length of the playground is 200m and the breadth is 100m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the length of the ground be x m and the breadth be y m

From the first condition,  x = 2y

                                     x-2y = 0 (1)

The perimeter of a rectangular playground = 2( l + b ) (Formula)

From the second condition, 2(  x+y  ) = 600 (2)

Adding equations (1) and (2),

3x =600

 x =200

Substituting the value of  x in equation (1),

200-2y=0,

        2y=200

           y=100

The length of the playground is 200m and the breadth is 100m
