Given :

Length of the measuring tape = 9m

width of the measuring tape = 3.5cm

To Find: For ratio, we shall convert the length and width in the same units

Solution :

Length in cm = 9 x 100cm (As 1m = 100cm)

                     = 900cm

Ratio = length / width

         = 900/35

         = 180/7 (Diving both by 5)

Therefore, the ratio of length to width is 180:7.
