length of minute hand = radius of clock=14cm
​distance travelled=2(22/7)14
                            =88cm

1. R..........the radius of a circle represented by the minute hand = 14 cm;

2. C..........the circumference of the circle is 'drawn' by the tip of hand and can be calculated as follows:

C = 2  \pi  * R = 2 * 14 * PI = 87.9645943 cm

3. Since the hand is the minute hand, the journey around the circumference takes the tip 60 minutes, that is, 1 hour.

4. The tip thus moves at the speed of...

...roughly 88 cm per hour, or...
...about 14.66 mm per minute, or...
...around 0.244 mm per second.
