To Find:-

  • Area covered by Minute Hand

Solution:-

As we know that when minute hand Complete 1 round then the angle made by them is 360° .

When minute hand Complete 1 round then its take 60 Min.

Then, angle made by minute hand each min

→ Angle made by minute hand per minute = 360/60 = 6°

Therefore, at per minute minute hand made 6° angle.

The angle made by minute hand in 120 min = 120×6 = 720°

Therefore, the area covered by mirror hand = θ/360 × πr²

→ The area covered by mirror hand = 720/360 × 22/7×14²

→ The area covered by mirror hand = 2 × 22/7 × 196

→ The area covered by mirror hand = 44/7 × 196

→ The area covered by mirror hand = 44×28

→ The area covered by mirror hand = 1232 cm²
