The ratio of the diameter of the pencil to the the length of a pencil = 1 : 20

Explanation:

Given,

The length of a pencil = 14 cm = 140 mm and

[ ∵ 1 cm = 10 mm]

The diameter of a pencil = 7 mm

To find, the ratio of the diameter of the pencil to the the length of a pencil  = ?

The ratio of the diameter of the pencil to the the length of a pencil

= 7 mm : 140 mm
