Let the breadth of the room be x m.

Therefore, length =x+3 m

According to the given condition,

x(x+3)=(3+x+3)(x−2)

3x+x

2

=(6+x)(x−2)

3x+x

2

=6x−12+x

2

−2x

x=12

Therefore, length = x+3=15m

Breadth = x=12m
