Hey!!!!!

_____________

Let the length and breadth of the rectangle be x and y respectively.

Then ATQ,

=>x - 5 = y----------(1)

Perimeter = 74m

=> 2(x + y) = 74

=> x + x - 5 = 37 (From (1))

=> 2x = 42

=> x = 21

Using in (1)

=> y = 21 - 5

=> y = 16

Thus the length is 21m and breadth is 16m

heya !!

here is ur answer

=======================

Given :- length = breadth + 5 ( it is given 5 mtr more than in question.

♦ breadth = x

♦ length = x +5

perimeter = 2( l+B)

➡ substituting the Values :-

Given perimiter = 74 mtr

➡ 74 = 2( X+5 +X )

➡ 74 = 2(2x+5)

➡ 74 = 4x + 10

➡ 74 - 10 = 4x

➡ 64 = 4x

➡ X = 64 / 4

➡ X = 16

so breadth = 16 mtr.

length = 16+5 = 21 mtr.

verification :-

74 = 2( 16+21)

74 = 2( 37)

74 = 74

hence proved.

hope it helps u..!!
