let  the breadth be x

length =x+5

perimeter =2(l+b)

perimeter=2(x+x+5)

38=2(2x+5)

38=4x+10

4x=28

x=28/4=7cm=breadth

length=7+5=12cm

area of rectangle=lentgth(l) x  breadth (b)

  1. a=12  x  7=84 square cm
