The length of a rectangle exceeds its breadth by 12. Perimeter of the rectangle is 48m. Find the length and the breadth of the rectangle. (please type out the whole solution :)​

Let breadth of the rectangle be 'b' cm.

So length of the rectangle will be 'b+12' cm.

Now

Perimeter =48

2(l+b)=48

2(b+12+b)=48

2b+12=24

2b=12

b=6cm

l=b+12=18 cm

l=18

Then,

Area of the rectangle =lb

=6*18

=108m
