The length of a rectangle exceeds its breadth by 3cm if each of the length and breadth are increased by 2cm the area of a new rectangle will be 58 cm2 more than the original rectangle

Answer:

Let b be the breadth

length =b+3

If length and breadth increased by 2cm new area is 70 sq cm more

i.e., b(b+3)+70=(b+2)(b+5)

+3b+70=b

2

+2b+5b+10

4b=60

b=15

l=15+3=18.
