The length of a rectangle exceeds its breadth by 4 cm. If length and breadth are each increased by 3cm, the area of the new rectangle will be 81 sq. Cm more than that of the given rectangle. Find the length and breadth of the given rectangle.

so length will be = (X+4) cm

area = X *(X+4) cm²

in 2nd condition length and breadth increase by 3 cm.

so new area will be (X+3)*(X+7)cm²

According to the question

(New area)-(initial area)= 81

10X+21-4X= 81

6X = 60

X = 10

(length, breadth) = (14,10)
