Let the Breadth of rectangle be a

Length = a + 4

Perimeter = 2 (Length + Width)

84 = 2 ( a + a + 4)

=> 84 = 2 ( 2a + 4)

=> 42 = 2a + 4

=> 2a = 38

=> a = 19

Breadth = 19 m

Length = 23 m

Heya user

Here's your answer :-

Given that :-

Length exceeds its breadth by 4m.

>>Let breadth be x

>>then length is x+4

⇒perimeter = 2(l+b)

⇒2(x+x+4)=84

⇒2(2x+4)=84

⇒42=2x+4

⇒2x =38

⇒X =38/2

⇒19

∴ length =x+4 > 19+4 =23m

Breadth= x = 19m

Have a great day ahead ^_^
