Given :

  • The length of a rectange is 6m more than it breadth
  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 96m

 \\

To Find :

  • Length and Breadth of Rectangle

 \\

Solution :

⟾ Let the Breadth of Rectangle be x

⟾ Then Length of Rectangle will be x + 6

According to the Question :

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

➞ 96 = 2 ( x + 6 + x )

➞ 96 / 2 = x + 6 + x

➞ 48 = 2x + 6

➞ 48 - 6 = 2x

➞ 42 = 2x

➞ 42 / 2 = x

➞ 21 = x

________________

Verification :

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( L + B )

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (x + 6 + x)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (21 + 6 + 21)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 (27 + 21)

➞ Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 × 48

96 = 96

Hence Verified

________________

Therefore :

  • Length = x + 6 = 21 + 6 = 27m
  • Breadth = x = 21m

Additional Info :

Formulas Related to Rectangle:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(l)² + (b)²
