Answer:

Length = 17 m and width = 8 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Let length = x m

Let width = y m

Area = xy m²

ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION:-

x = 9+ y

x-y = 9 --------(1)

Also,

Length = (x+3) m

Breadth = (y+3) m

Area = xy + 84

(x+3) (y+3) = xy +84

xy+3x+3y+9 = xy+84

3x+3y = 84-9

3x+3y = 75

3(x+y) = 75

x+y = 75/3

x+y = 25 ----------(2)

Add equations (1) and (2)

x - y = 9

x + y = 25

________

2x + 0 = 34

2x = 34

x = 17

Put x in equation (1)

x - y = 9

17 - y = 9

-y = 9 - 17

-y = - 8

y = 8

Therefore, Length = 17 m

And width = 8 m
