let the original breath =X
then length =X+5
if length is decreased by 1 then new length
=X+5-1=X+4
also, the breath increase by 3 then new breath is X+3
from question,
new area -original area =32
(X+4)(X+3)-X(X+5)=32
xsquare+7x+12-xsquare-5x=32
2x+12=32
2x=20
X=10cm
replacing x=10 on original equation we got
breath=10cm Length=X+5=10+5=15cm
