solution;

let , the width of rectangle = X

and length of rectangle = (x+7)

given ;

area of rectangle is =

60cm ^{2}

now;

area of rectangle = length × breadth

60cm ^{2}  = x  ( \times  + 7) \\  \\ 60cm ^{2}  = x ^{2}  + 7x \\  \\ x ^{2}  + 7x - 60 \\  \\

now split to find

(x+12)(x-5)

x= -12, x= 5

breath can never be -ve

so the , value of x= 5

length of rectangle = (x+7)

= 5+7

length =12
