Given:-

Perimeter of the rectangle:- 150 m

To find:-

Length and breadth

Now,

Let the breadth be x

then

ATQ,

rectangle be 2x

2(x+2x)=150

x+2x=150/2

3x=75

x=25

so,

breath 25 m

and length 25×2=50m

Question : The length of a rectangular field is twice its breadth,if the perimeter of the field is 150 meters find its length and breadth .

Solution : Let the breadth of the rectangular field be x m.

Then, its length = 2x m

Perimeter of rectangle

= 2 (Length+breadth )

Atq,

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: 2(2x + x) = 150 \\  =  > 2 \times 3x = 150 \\  =  > 6x = 150 \\  =  > x =  \frac{150}{6}  \\  =  > x = 25

Length of rectangular field

= (25×2) m

= 50 m

Breadth of rectangular field

= 25 m
