Answer:

Rs 6000

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth be x m

∴ length = 2x m

As area = length × breadth

∴ Area = 2x × x = 2x²

Now rent for 2x² m² = Rs. 28,000

∴ rent for 1 m² = Rs. 28,000/2x² = 14000/x²

∴ rent for 10,000 m² (1 hectare) = (14000 × 10000)/x²

∴ (14000 × 10000)/x² = 3500

x² =  (14000 × 10000)/3500

= 40000

∴ x = √40000 = 200

Hence breadth = 200 m & length = 400 m

∴ Perimeter = 2(l+b) = 2(200+400) = 1200 m

∴ Cost of fencing it at Rs 5 per meter = 1200 × 5 = Rs 6000
