let the breath of the rectangular football field be "d".

so length be 2d

perimeter= 2( l+b)

=2( 2d+d )

=2×3d

=6d

Since, the perimeter of square = the perimeter of rectangular football field

so 4×90=6d

=360/6=d

d= 60m

so 2d= 120 m

now, area of rectangular football field = l×b= 60×120= 7200m=0.72 hectare

Answer:

the area of the rectangular football ground in hectares is 0.045 hectares.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let, the length of the rectangular football is "L", its width be "B" and its perimeter be "R".

Given, L = 2 B and R = 90 m .

But we know that perimeter of the rectangle (R) is 2(L + B).

i.e. R = 2(2 B + B ) = 90 m

⇒ 3 B = 45

⇒ B = 15 m

As L = 2 B

So, L = 30 m

Now, the area of the rectangle (R) = L × B.

⇒ R = 30 m × 15 m

⇒ R = 450 m^2

Therefore, the area of the rectangular football ground in hectares is 0.045 hectares (as 1 m^2 = 10^{-4} hectares).
