let the breadth be x

let the length be 3x

give perimeter of the hallway is 48 m

according to problem

2 (l +b) = perimeter

2 (3x+x ) =48

2 ×4x =48

8x= 48

x= 48 / 8

x= 6

length =3 ×6 =18 m
breadth = 6m

Here's Ur answer...

ATQ, the Length of the rectangular halfway is 3times it's breadth.

Let the breadth of the rectangular halfway be x.

Therefore length = 3x

Given the perimeter of the rectangular halfway = 48m

==> 2 ( l + b ) = 48m

==> 2 ( 3x + x ) = 48m

==> 4x = 48/2

==> 4x = 24

==> x = 24/4

==> x = 6

Hence, breadth of the rectangular halfway = x = 6m

Length of the rectangular halfway = 3x = 3 × 6 = 18m

Hope this helps..!!
