For a rectangle we cut it diagonally and apply Pythagoras theorem that is a2=b2+c2(a2 is the length of hypotenuse/diagonal always)
Breadth=x
Length=3cm more than thrice its breadth=3x+3
Diagonal=1cm more than length=3x+3+1=3x+4
Diagonal2=l2+b2
(3x+4)2=(3x+3)2+(x)2
Applying square root on both sides
3x+4=3x+3+x
3x-3x-x=3-4
-x=-1
X=1
Breadth=x
Length=3cm more than thrice its breadth=3x+3
Diagonal=1cm more than length=3x+3+1=3x+4
Diagonal2=l2+b2
(3x+4)2=(3x+3)2+(x)2
Applying square root on both sides
3x+4=3x+3+x
3x-3x-x=3-4
-x=-1
X=1
