The length of a rectangle is 1/4th of its perimeter. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 100cm, find the length and breadth of the rectangle. Also say whether it is a square. ​

Answer:

perimeter=100

then,length=1/4 of perimeter which mean length=1/4×100

so length=25

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

100=2(25 +b)

100= 50 + 2b

100-50 =2b

50=2b

b=25

As we know rectangle opposite side is equal so l=25 and b=25 then it is proved that it is square.
