let length be x +1 then breadth x.
By using Pythagoras theorem
5^2=(x+1)^2+x^2
25=x^2+2x+1+x^2
24=2x^2+2x
0=2x^2+2x-24
x^2+x-12=0
x^2+4x-3x-12=0
x(x+4)-3(x+4)=0
so length is 4cm and breadth is 3 cm
