Given :-

Let the width be x

Length = x + 1

Solution :-

Area of rectangle = Length * Breath

Area of rectangle = x * x + 1

Area of circle = x ( x + 1)

Area of rectangle = x^2 + x

If length is decreased by 2m and width is decreased by 6m then the area will be decreased by 50m^2

Length = (x + 1 ) + 2

= x + 1 + 2

= ( x + 3) m

Width = ( x - 6 )m

Area of rectangle = Length * Breath

put the values in the formula ,

( x^2 + x) - 50 = ( x + 3) ( x - 6 )

x^2 + x - 50 = x( x - 6 ) + 3( x - 6)

x^2 + x - 50 = x^2 - 6x + 3x - 18

x^2 + x - 50 = x^2 - 3x - 18

x^2 - x^2 + x + 3x = -18 + 50

4x = 32

x = 32/ 4

x = 8m

Dimensions of rectangle are :-

Width = x = 8m

Length = x + 1 = 9m
