Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L+B) = 2(10+x)

Perimeter of square = 4xs = 4x9 = 36 cm

Given 2(10+x) = 36

20+2x=36

x=(36-20)/2 = 8

Area of rectangle = LxB = 10 x 8 = 80 cm squared

Answer

 {80cm}^{2}

Given .

The length of a rectangle is 10 cm.and a square of side 9 cm.

Find

Area of the Rectangle ?

Solution

Perimeter of square = 4 × side .

4 × 9cm

36cm.

Now According to questions

Perimeter of rectangle = perimeter of square.

here the length of rectangle is 10 cm .and breadth is b.

2 ( l + b ) = 4 × Side

2( 10 + b ) = 4 × 9cm

20 + 2b = 36cm

2b = 36 - 20

2b = 16 cm

b \:  =  \frac{16}{2}  \\  \\  = 8
Again here we find Area of rectangle.

Area of rectangle = length × breadth.

10 cm × 8cm.

 {80cm}^{2}

Therefore the area of rectangle is equal to
 {80cm}^{2}
