Given:

The length of a rectangle is 10 cm and the breadth is y. The rectangle is an equable shape.

To find out:

Find the value of y?

Formula used:

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

  • Area of rectangle = length × Breadth

Solution:

Let the length be x and breadth be y.

⋆ length = x = 10 cm [ Given ]

According to question:-

Perimeter of rectangle = Area of rectangle

→ 2 ( x + y ) = x × y

→ 2 ( 10 + y ) = 10 × y

→ 20 + 2y = 10 y

→ 10y - 2y = 20

→ 8y = 20

→ y = 20/8

2.5 cm

Hence, the value of y is 2.5 cm

Given:

The length of the rectangle is 10cm and the breadth is 1 .the rectangle is an equable shape.

To find out:

Find the value of y?

Formula used:

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

area of rectangle = length × breadth

Solutions:

let the length be x and breadth by y.

length = x = 10cm

A.Q.T

perimeter of rectangle = area of rectangle

2(l + b) = x × y

2(10 + y) = 10 × y

20 + 2y = 10y

20 = 10y - 2y

20 = 8y

y = 2.5cm

Hence, the value of y is 2.5cm.
