Answer:

perimeter of rectangle = 2×(l+b)

34cm= 2×(12+b)

34=24 + 2b

2b = 34-24

2b = 10

b= 10/2

b = 5cm

\sf{\red{\boxed{\bold{perimeter = 2 ( length + breadth ) }}}}

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\sf:\implies\:{\bold{ 34 = 2 ( 12 + b ) }}

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\sf:\implies\:{\bold{ 12 + b = \dfrac{34}{2}}}

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\sf:\implies\:{\bold{ 12 + b = 17}}

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\sf:\implies\:{\bold{ b = 17 - 12}}

⠀⠀⠀⠀

\sf:\implies\:{\bold{ b = 5  }}
