Solution :

First , We have to Calculate Breadth of the Rectangle . Hence ,

Let :

• Breadth of Rectangle be x .

According to the Formula :-

(D)² = (L)² + (B)²

(15)² = (12)² + (x)²

(15×15) = (12×12) + x²

225 = 144 + x²

225 - 144 = x²

81 = x²

√81 = x

9 = x

Therefore , The Breadth of Rectangle is 9 cm.

• l = length
• b = breadth

Now :

According to the Formula :-

l × b

12 × 9

108

Therefore , The Area of the Rectangle is 108 cm² .
